Sweet Treat: No-Bake Vegan Brownie Recipe

Consuming chocolate is supposed to be an indulgent, pleasurable, decadent experience — especially on Valentine’s Day, where the heart-shaped boxes filled with treats are especially prevalent. But not all chocolate is created equal, both in taste and in quality.

So this V-Day, whip up this no-bake vegan brownie recipe. It’s oh-so-easy to make (see: no-bake), and it taste sinfully delicious though it’s made with good-for-you superfoods. One of our fave superfoods: cacao.

Studies suggest that cacao can help improve your memory, boost your immunity, and even help you lose weight. Raw organic cacao is also packed with antioxidants, and is one of the highest plant-based source of calcium.

NO-BAKE VEGAN BROWNIE RECIPE:

1 cup walnuts
1 cup almonds
1-1/2 cups dates
2 tbsp cacao
1/2 cup dark cacao chips
Pinch of sea salt

Blend in food processor. Pour into tray, and then coat with melted chocolate chips. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. Enjoy!
