Trick yourself with these tasty, guilt-free treats.
Pass on the bite-sized candy bars and try this healthy halloween recipe for delicious protein bites instead. Matcha gives it a ghoulish green color and packs each bite with antioxidants and energy. Meanwhile, peanut butter and canned chickpeas offer a satisfying serving of protein and fat.
“These are a great snack because they help balance blood sugar,” says Sarah Greenfield, RD. “They’re loaded with fiber, protein, and healthy fat that keep blood sugar and hunger hormones stable. This combination prevents sugar cravings and mindless snacking.”
Chickpeas in your dessert freaking you out? Trust us, even the most discerning of palettes wouldn’t catch it. Don’t believe us? Make them yourself and see! We recommend pairing this healthy halloween recipe with your favorite scary movie for a truly spooktacular experience.
