2 Easy and Delicious Bone Broth Recipes

Healthy, delicious bone broth recipes packed with skin-loving nutrients. When people asked me two years ago what was in my mug, my response of bone broth was met with curious—and sometimes repulsed—looks. Flash forward to 2017, and no one bats an eye. Bone broth has become one of the biggest health food trends in recent years, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. But what makes this magical elixir so great? It contains a smorgasbord of nutrients like collagen, glucosamine, glycine, magnesium, and calcium. These help protect your joints, boost your immune system, and improve the look of your hair, skin, and nails. The most common way to enjoy bone broth is warmed up on its own. But the folks at Soupure, an LA-based line of whole-food soups and broths, also love to throw in some additions, turning a savory snack into a warm, comforting meal. Inspired by their method, we teamed up with Soupure to bring you two delicious recipes using bone broth.

Bone Broth Recipe #1: Beauty Broth Bowl

This beauty-boosting recipe is packed with collagen, which helps your skin look glowing and radiant. The addition of mineral-rich kelp noodles and vitamin-rich sweet potato, red pepper, and bok choy help boost that glow while also strengthening your immune system.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles Soupure Beef Bone Broth
  • 1 cup chopped bok choy
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup kelp noodles
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced sweet potato
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Sriracha

Recipe:

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sautée onions until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Reduce heat to medium and add the bok choy and red peppers. Cook until the bok choy wilts. Heat Soupure bone broth in a saucepan. Use a spoon to stir the broth into a “whirlpool.” Slowly pour in the beaten egg, then stir again to create egg ribbons. Add the sautéed veggies plus the remaining ingredients, and reduce to simmer for five minutes. Top with sriracha and enjoy!

Bone Broth Recipe #2: Power Broth Bowl

This bowl is made with chicken bone broth and an assortment of veggies and extra protein, making it perfect for a post-workout meal. Superstar ingredients include onions, which help reduce inflammation, and garlic, which is a natural vasodilator (translation: it helps blood and oxygen travel to your muscles).

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles Soupure Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1 cup shredded chicken
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup cubed butternut squash
  • 1/2 cup cooked beets
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Turmeric

Recipe:

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sautée onions until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Heat Soupure bone broth in a saucepan. Add sautéed onions and garlic, plus the remaining ingredients, and reduce to simmer for five minutes. Enjoy! Want more ways to spice up your bone broth?
