Plus, there&#8217;s no baking required!<\/p>\n<p>First, you only need three ingredients:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>your favorite low-sugar dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>almond butter<\/li>\n<li>a little coconut oil<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You&#8217;ll also need a muffin tin and liners (either paper or silicone, depending on your preference).<\/p>\n<p>The recipe only requires pouring chocolate, the almond butter\/coconut oil mixture, then more chocolate, and freezing in between pouring the layers. Among other things, magnesium is important for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>optimal nerve function<\/li>\n<li>promoting restful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humnutrition.com\/blog\/mighty-night\/\">sleep<\/a><\/li>\n<li>reducing stress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you ask me, this is a great deal to get from enjoying a tasty dessert!<\/p>\n<p>Plus, you can customize your dark chocolate to your personal preferences. Some people prefer the darkest they can find, while others choose one that&#8217;s on the sweeter side.<\/p>\n<p>For this recipe, I used 55 percent Lily&#8217;s brand Original Dark Chocolate. (Lily&#8217;s has dark chocolate ranging from 55 to 92 percent cacao!) I particularly like it since it includes stevia, an alternative sweetener. Stevia comes from a plant called <i>Stevia rebaudiana<\/i>, which doesn&#8217;t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humnutrition.com\/blog\/how-blood-sugar-affects-food-cravings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">affect blood sugar<\/a> because it passes through the body undigested.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike most desserts that can cause a rapid rise and fall in blood sugar (which is fine from time to time), sweets made with stevia can maintain more balanced blood sugar levels.<\/p>\n<h3>almond butter<\/h3>\n<p>Almonds are a good source of healthy unsaturated fats and protein\u2014which also makes a handful of them a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humnutrition.com\/blog\/healthy-snacks-weight-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nutritious, satiating snack<\/a>. Almonds offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsph.harvard.edu\/nutritionsource\/food-features\/almonds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vitamin E<\/a> as well, which is important for healthy skin and hair.
